A Saudi Arabian air force sergeant faces a minimum of 35 years in prison after raping a 13 year-old boy.  The defendant, 24 year-old Mazen Alotaibi, was found guilty of forcing oral and anal sex on the boy in the bathroom of the Circus Circus hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.

Alotaibi decided not to testify in his defense, but instead, jurors watched a 70-minute videotaped police interview in which Alotaibi told detectives the boy offered sex for marijuana or money.  After first denying the rape, Alotaibi later admitted to police that he engaged in sex with the boy.  Alotaini's lawyers suggest their client was too drunk after spending the night at a strip club and did not have full consciousness to know if he was doing anything wrong.

Sentencing for the 24-year-old Royal Saudi Air Force mechanic, who had been in the U.S. for military training, is set for December 16.  Alotaibi is being held on more than $1.7 million bail.
