Two former Guantánamo Bay inmates were arrested while crossing the border from Saudi Arabia, and are being charged with allegedly plotting attacks in Bahrain.

The Bahraini Government did not gave no specific details about the suspects except that authorities arrested the two men on Saturday.  They were carrying fake passports while trying to cross into Bahrain through the roadway linked to Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain has faced unrest since February 2011, when the country's Shiite majority began an uprising seeking a greater political voice in the kingdom, which is home to the U.S. navy's 5th Fleet, making it of geat importance for the U.S.  The concern some critics express is keeping Bahrain from falling into Shia control, so it does not align with Iran.

Meanwhile, Bahrain will host a meeting of interior ministers from across the Gulf Arab states this week.
