White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel plans to hold a fundraiser for Democratic Representative Kendrick Meek (D-Fla.), who is competing for the Democratic nomination in Florida’s Senate race.

The administration has officially endorsed Meek in the primary against billionaire Jeff Greene. Other individuals from the Democratic party, such as Vice President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton have hosted fundraisers for the four-term lawmaker as well.

The event is set to take place Monday, Aug. 2, in Washington D.C.
