To honor its 10th year, Assouline released a commemoration, a book "Art For Heart: Remembering 9/11" in September 2011. It features a collection of words and drawings created by children following the attacks and revealing the human instinct to bear witness, provide comfort and attempt to make sense out of the unthinkable. This book includes selections of artwork and messages from participants in the New York University Child Study Center and the Art for Heart Program of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, as well as the “Dear Hero” and “Notes of Hope” collections, which have been acquired by the National September 11 Memorial Museum.
